This Saturday, December 13th, presidential candidate António José Seguro challenged André Ventura to say whether he is for or against the labor reform that the Government presented to the social partners.

“There is one thing that the country needs to know. It is the clear position of Congressman André Ventura, who has already said one thing and the opposite. It is important that time starts counting so that you can say, clearly, whether you are going to vote against this proposal in the Assembly of the Republic”, said Seguro to the Lusa agency during his visit to the Guarda municipal market.

Recalling that the Government’s proposal “does not have the agreement of workers, nor social consultation”, António José Seguro said he hopes that also presidential candidate André Ventura, “will quickly clarify his position, because politics is not about saying one thing today and another tomorrow”.

“The policy is to state your position directly and clearly. Therefore, I am waiting for Congressman André Ventura’s response.”

In Guarda, where he will spend the day, António José Seguro recalled that he has already appealed to the Government to, “with democratic humility, recognize that the proposal [da reforma laboral] it makes absolutely no sense and must be removed.”
