This Friday, December 26, a man attacked several workers at a car tire factory with a knife and an unknown liquid, causing injuries to 15 people.
The incident occurred at 7:30 am in mainland Portugal at the Yokohama Rubber factory, in the city of Mishima, around 80 kilometers from the capital Tokyo, according to Japanese television station NHK.
The victims immediately received medical treatment at the scene, and eight of them were rushed to the hospital.
In addition to the knife, the attacker, who has already been detained, also used “a spray liquid” against people he met along the way, according to Tomoharu Sugiyama, from the Mishima city fire department, speaking to the AFP agency, and it is still unclear what type of liquid was used.
So far, the reasons behind this attack are not known, something that will be determined through an investigation that is already underway.
