Parliamentary employees filed a complaint with the secretary general of the Assembly of the Republic against the parliamentary group of He arrives. According to information advanced by Express the union that represents them speaks of attitudes that “profoundly affect the dignity, self-esteem, mental health and physical integrity of workers”.
In the letter sent to Anabela Cabral Ferreira and the Board of Directors, the union calls for urgent protective measures. At issue are accusations that employees had altered Assembly Diaries to hide remarks directed at Chega. The union recalls the case raised by Pedro Frazão about “lack of reliability of the transcript of the September 17th session”.
At the time, the deputy claimed that the minutes had omitted “protests and counter-protests” by Hugo Soares, which he described as “intimidating and rude”, going so far as to speak of “threats of physical aggression”. But in the order that rejected the appeal, José Pedro Aguiar-Branco wrote that there was “no evidence of lack of authenticity or reliability”.
Another episode mentioned occurred on October 27th, when André Ventura and Chega’s bench accused the services of cutting the party’s intervention time, something that is the responsibility of the President of the Assembly. On that occasion, they stated that “the employees of the Assembly of the Republic must respect the representativeness of the Assembly of the Republic […] and they are not here for them, they are here paid for by Portuguese taxes”.
The complaint points out that these behaviors are causing “enormous discomfort” and “extreme anxiety”for calling into question the “reputability and good name” of workers, “violation of the right to honor and seriousness is not accepted”.
