The body of a man found this Sunday, December 21st, at Praia de Moledo, in Caminha, is believed to be that of one of the three fishermen missing since last Sunday, after the boat they were on sank, reported the National Maritime Authority (AMN).

In a statement, AMN stated that the alert for the presence of a body on that beach happened at 08:56 and the Maritime Police were activated and the Caminha Volunteer Firefighters and the Judiciary Police (PJ).

After confirmation of death, the body was transported to the Viana do Castelo Medical-Legal Office.

The Maritime Police Psychology Office is providing support to the victims and their families, AMN said.

A boat with five people on board sank at 12:20 pm last Sunday in a rocky area on the island of Ínsua, in Moledoin the municipality of Caminha.

Two of the five people were removed and transported to Viana do Castelo Hospital, and the other three, Indonesian nationals, remained missing, despite searches off Caminha.
