PSG was ordered by the Labor Court to pay more than 60 million euros to Kylian Mbappé, in a decision that could put an end to the labor dispute between the French club and the forward.
“We are satisfied with the decision. It was what could be expected when salaries were not paid,” said Mbappé’s lawyer, Frederique Cassereau.
The court found that PSG failed to pay three months of Mbappé’s salary, an ethics bonus and a signing bonus due under his employment contract, following his free transfer to Real Madrid.
The newspaper Le Monde recalls that, after having tried, in vain, to receive 55 million euros in outstanding salaries and bonuses at the end of his contract in the summer of 2024, Mbappé filed a lawsuit against PSG in the Labor Court, in which he asked for 263 million. The club, for its part, demanded 440 million.
This Tuesday, December 16th, it was decided that the club will have to pay 60.9 million euros. The court considered that PSG did not present any written agreement proving that Mbappé had renounced his salary and bonuses.
