Brazilian women and men who stand out in Portugal can be nominated for the Estrela do Atlântico Award, which is in its third edition. Name suggestions can be sent until December 10th via from this link.
According to Brazilian Higor Cerqueira, creator of the initiative, the award is a way of showing the “active strength” of the Brazilian community. “The Estrela do Atlântico Award is a way of showing that Brazilians are not just a large presence in Europe, but an active force, which undertakes, creates, innovates and contributes to the development of the places where they live”, highlights the businessman.
The awards ceremony will take place on the day March 1, 2026, at Teatro Sá da Bandeira, in the city of Porto. The gala night will feature a red carpet, trophy presentation and the presence of guests, nominees and the public. The event is open to everyone, with tickets on sale.

In the edition held in December last year, more than 10 thousand people followed the event on social media, in addition to the 400 present in the audience. “We are one of the most relevant awards shows in Portugal in terms of audience and visibility. This year, we want more audience, more participants, more engagement, more inspiring stories and more Brazilians recognized for the positive impact they generate”, adds Higor.
The award is divided into two main classes: featured personalities and companies and businesses. Each class breaks down into categories defined based on the nominations received in this initial phase, covering areas such as communication, culture, innovation, services and social responsibility.
After December 10th, the organizing committee will analyze each name suggested based on criteria of merit, relevance and impact of the actions presented. Then, by December 15th, the names of the nominees will be revealed to the public. Voting will open on December 18th and will remain available until February 27thwhen the winners of each category will be chosen.
