Cristiano Ronaldo’s investment portfolio has just gained a new chapter, this time in combat sports. The Portuguese international footballer entered the capital of WOW FC (The Way of Warriors FC), leader of the martial arts industry in Spain.
The company holds mixed martial arts (MMA) championships, with a special focus on Spanish territory. It now counts on investment from the Portuguese, who is a self-confessed admirer of combat sports.
“MMA represents values that I truly believe in: discipline, respect, resilience and the constant pursuit of excellence. WOW FC is building something unique and powerful, and I am proud to join this project to help elevate the sport and inspire the next generation,” said Cristiano Ronaldo.
The captain of the national team, who currently plays for Al-Nassr, in Saudi Arabia, will allow the brand to accelerate its expansion on a global scale.
According to Arturo Guillen, Executive CEO of WOW FC, “Cristiano Ronaldo’s entry into WOW FC is a historic moment.” In this context, “we are ready to redefine the role that MMA can play in global culture”, highlighted the person in charge.
The next WOW FC event in Spain will take place on Friday, the 28th, in Vitoria-Gasteiz, at the Pavilhão Fernando Buesa Arena. The next one is scheduled for December 13th, at the Madrid Arena, which is located on Avenida de Portugal.
