For those who want to ring in the New Year to the sound of Brazilian rhythms, there is no shortage of options in Lisbon. DN Brasil highlights some Brazilian programs for this New Year’s Eve. There are alternatives for all tastes: the arrival of the new year can be with samba, country music, forró and much more. Check it out:
“Vada Gira”
Coletivo Gira welcomes 2026 with lots of samba, resistance, diversity and prosperity. The artists promote “Virada Gira” at Marvila 8. In addition to the samba circle, the night will feature performances by DJs Maribell and Ana Laura. The opening is scheduled for 10pm, and the party continues until 5am. Children up to 12 years old have free entry. The first batches of tickets are sold out, but there are still tickets available for 25 euros here.
Forró at Fábrica Braço de Prata
At Fábrica Braço de Prata, the turn will have a mix of rhythms, with emphasis on forró, which will be the predominant sound throughout the night in the main tent. Espaço Baião, with a DJ and live forró, leads the party. The event, called “Contra Ventos e Marés”, will also feature food from various parts of the world, including Brazilian cuisine, and different musical styles until 5am. Tickets on sale here.
Sertanejinho
Reveillonfest reaches its fourth edition this year, bringing together several Brazilian rhythms in addition to country music, from the “Sertanejinho Portugal” project. The party includes hits dances from the 1990s and 2000s, pimba music and Carnival classics. The event will be at Music Station, at Expo, from 10pm until 5am. Tickets are on sale this link.
Vila Sambô
The Vila Sambô party will have a pagoda with Samba di Rua and three other DJs. One of the highlights is the privileged location, in the middle of Praça do Comércio. The event starts at 11pm and ends at 5am. Tickets here.
