Singer and composer Lulu Santos is the first Brazilian artist confirmed at Coala Festival 2026, which will take place again in Portugal next year. The event, of Brazilian origin, will hold its third edition on Portuguese soil on the 30th and 31st of May, at the Hipódromo Manuel Possolo, in Cascais. The proposal to bring together Portuguese-language music artists is maintained. Tickets are now available for sale.
In addition to Lulu Santos, the festival also announced concerts by Slow J and Bonga. Considered one of the most influential voices in contemporary music in Portugal, Slow J will present the show “Afro Fado”, one of the great national successes of recent years, in which it combines African and Portuguese references.

Bonga, a historic name in Angolan music and semba, brings to the stage a repertoire marked by more than five decades of career and an artistic trajectory deeply linked to the cultural and political history of Angola.
With a consolidated career since the 1980s, Lulu Santos has dozens of hits that spanned generations in Brazil, such as “Just Mais Uma de Amor” and “Um Certo Someone”. The artist began his career in the band Vímana and became one of the most popular and influential names in Brazilian music, with a strong presence among the Portuguese public as well.
Created in Brazil, the Coala Festival arrived in Portugal in 2024, the year in which it celebrated a decade of existence in the country of origin. Since then, the event has consolidated itself in the Portuguese cultural calendar, having received around 40 thousand people in the first two editions – and the DN Brazil was there, how could it be otherwise.
Names withGilberto Gil, Jorge Ben, Ney Matogrosso, Liniker, Xande de Pilares, Criolo, Carminho, António Zambujo and Ana Lua Caianoamong artists from Brazil, Portugal and Portuguese-speaking African countries.
The artistic curation of the 2026 edition is signed by Gabriel Andrade, one of the founders of the festival, and the Angolan musician and writer Kalaf Epalanga. Tickets for the third edition are now available for sale through from this linkwith tickets ranging from €72 to €150.
