Expected price
The XUV 7XO is aimed at customers seeking a premium three-row SUV without stepping into luxury-brand territory. It is expected to compete in the ₹20–30 lakh segment (prices yet to be announced), where buyers prioritise a well-rounded package that blends space, comfort, advanced technology, and safety.
In essence, the new SUV sits at the intersection of family-friendly practicality, an upscale cabin experience, and intelligent connected features—making it an appealing option for urban families upgrading from mid-size SUVs.
XUV700 Evolution, Not a Reinvention
Mahindra has confirmed that the XUV 7XO is a facelifted premium SUV and represents the next chapter of the XUV700 lineup. The strong brand recall of the XUV700 works in Mahindra’s favour, allowing the XUV 7XO to feel like a confident step forward rather than a radical reset.
The company has also indicated that production of the XUV700 will end after the XUV 7XO is launched. However, Mahindra has reassured existing XUV700 owners that service and spare parts support will continue through authorised service centres, ensuring long-term ownership confidence.
Display-First Cabin with Premium Tech
Reflecting the growing trend of more luxurious interiors in Indian SUVs, the XUV 7XO places strong emphasis on in-cabin technology. The highlight is the BIS-approved Coast-to-Coast HD triple-screen setup, measuring 3 x 31.2 cm, which delivers a wide, seamless digital interface that looks more advanced than conventional dual-screen layouts.
Mahindra is also promoting an ecosystem-driven approach inside the cabin, which includes upgraded Adrenox+ for smarter and more personalised connected experiences, an in-car theatre mode with BYOD support for entertainment, ambient lighting to enhance cabin ambience, and a 540° camera system with digital video recording for improved visibility and safer manoeuvring.
Focus on Safety with Level 2 ADAS
Safety continues to be a key consideration for Indian families, and the XUV 7XO addresses this with Level 2 ADAS featuring Sense+. Beyond just offering advanced driver-assistance features, Mahindra is emphasising clear ADAS visualisation with real-time alerts and graphics that help drivers better understand and trust the system.
A comprehensive driver-assist package adds value in two major ways—it reduces fatigue during long highway journeys and enhances the SUV’s premium appeal during comparisons and test drives.
Booking and Launch Timeline
Mahindra has confirmed January 5, 2026, as the global premiere date for the XUV 7XO. While the official booking date will be announced during the premiere, pre-bookings are already open. Test drives and full-scale bookings are expected to begin shortly after the unveiling.
Further details regarding variants, feature distribution, colour choices, and pricing are set to be revealed closer to launch, making the XUV 7XO one of the most anticipated premium SUV debuts in India.
